  People saying the action and FX was great are the reason that garbage like this gets lauded. This was a movie with very little substance considering its huuuuge budget. I don't want to sit in a theater for 3 plus hours unless it's a damn good movie. this was not a damn good movie. this was a damn boring movie. I saw at least 5 other people in the theater making fun of the cheesey ass lines they gave the actors. Michael Bay ruined Transformers forever. Let's see what he does to Ninja Turtles... Michael, wha' Happened?

  I was so bored for the last hour and a half that I was grinding my teeth. I have no idea what Michael Bay was thinking, but he pissed me off to no end last night. F U Michael Bay.   I don't think anyone is "missing the point of a summer blockbuster"... to be spoon fed the usual sap story with some "awesome CG and FX" is simply not enough when asking nearly $20 for a ticket. This was terrible rubbish (not unlike the previous 3) and we should all do ourselves a favour and admit that this was a flop... unless you enjoy watching hyped up crap? They'll continue making shitty movies so long as we keep paying to see them and not giving them the shit review they deserve.

  Awesome FX and action. Mark Wahlberg is better than Shia ever was as the main human lead. The people giving this movie bad reviews are definitely missing the point of a summer blockbuster. Bigger and better than any other Transformers movie!

  too long, boring, I didn't like or care about any of the human characters - none of their problems at the outset got resolved in the end, making this film seem even more hollow; the origin twist was terrible, and by the end I was hoping all the transformers would be destroyed. Michael Bay needs to stop.

  2 stars strictly for the FX and art. Aside from that, the bloated $180 million budget blockbuster event of the summer left me completely bored after the first 45 minutes. Why oh WHY kill off the comic relief?
