Searching
Synopsis
When recently widowed father David Kim (John Cho) misses several late-night FaceTime calls from his 16-year-old daughter Margot (Michelle La), he discovers the next morning that she's missing. She didn't turn up for school and didn't join her friends on an out-of-town trip. It's just not like her to go away without contacting him. After calling the police, he notices Margot's laptop and opens it up to search for clues.
Although detective Rosemary Vick (Debra Messing) is on the case, David methodically begins digging through his daughter’s search history and the live-streaming services he didn't know she used. He finds contact numbers for her friends and calls them to get information, while logging Margot's whereabouts leading up to her disappearance. Although David hopes Margot has merely run away, as the evidence piles up it points to the fact that something sinister could have happened to his daughter.
